To Know Christ and to Make Him Known
Our congregation was organized in the early 1960's on our present site as a mission congregation of the former Lutheran Church in America. Five senior pastors have served the congregation since that time and the church has grown to over 850 members, including almost 50 children. The doors of the church are open to people of all races who as Christians believe in:
1) The Scriptures as the foundation of Christian life and thought.
2) The Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion as means of grace and life-strengthening power.
3) The power of prayer and the ability of people of faith to meet human need.
As Lutherans, we confess the three ecumenical creeds and subscribe to the Augsburg Confession and other historical confessions of the Lutheran Reformation. We support the work of Lutheran World Relief and Lutheran World Federation.
You may become a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church:
by baptism
by letter of transfer
by affirmation of faith
by enrolling as an
"associate member"
and maintaining regular membership
at a church elsewhere.
Pray daily; Read your Bible for at least 3 minutes every day; Each week invite someone to join you in worship; Give of yourself so that God has something to fill.
